Rustic, evergreen, sufruticose shrub with abundant garnet red or white blooms. If the climate permits, it can also be cultivated outdoors. Easy to find and of medium difficulty of cultivation.
The heather Calluna blossoms from August remains in bloom until almost Christmas. Available in many shades, from pink to white. It resists frost. This is a perennial heather, but it is mainly grown as a potted seasonal plant.
It goes well in combination with e.g. plants and conifers with silver leaves.
