Lavandula Stoechas or Lavandula angustifolia loves well-sunny places, which allow it to grow harmoniously, without orienting itself in search of the sun.

Unlike other lavenders, stoechas lavender needs a more acidic soil so we recommend adding sour peat to the pit. If the leaves turn yellow, it is sufficient to administer iron once or twice a year. This variety lives spontaneously along the coasts, and in the islands but with little care it adapts to all areas. It does not fear the salt but it must be protected from frost by mulching.

It does not require a lot of water; it is good to always let the soil dry between watering because it is very afraid of water stagnation.

The scent of lavender attracts bees, which produce an excellent aromatic honey, while mosquitoes don't like it and are annoyed by it.

Every year after flowering it is good to prune the plant by cutting not only the flowers but also a beautiful part of green so as not to lignify and empty the plant inside. If the lavender is pruned in this period it will return the leaves in a few weeks and you will have a nice full bush even during the winter.
