To get good results it is important to put the rhizomes in warm water the night before so that they can rehydrate. They do not require a particular soil, as long as it is well drained, to avoid water stagnation which is harmful to the rhizomes. The bulbs must be arranged at 20-25 cm from each other and must be covered with about 5 cm of earth.

It is not a rhizome suitable for growing wild, therefore in winter the rhizomes must be removed from the ground, left to dry and placed in a dry, cool and dark place until the end of winter, in order to be planted the following spring.
It is advisable to keep the soil moist, until the end of flowering, without exceeding, however, to prevent the rhizomes from rotting; at the end of flowering it is advisable to completely suspend watering, to allow the plant to dry out to prepare for winter rest.
