Philodendron belongs to the Araceae family and the genus includes many species native to the tropical regions of America.
It is authentic rainforest plant which needs to be watered regularly. It's a lot simple to care for and kept at home it will become a real presence for a long time. It is durable and has a very long life.
CARE
Try to keep the soil slightly moist avoiding stagnation of water, check its degree of humidity from time to time by inserting a finger into the soil.
It is important that there is a good air humidity of 60-70%. The bathroom or the kitchen are already suitable places for her. Otherwise, the edges of the leaves may dry out. In the presence of dry air, spray the leaves once or twice a day. Also make sure the Philodendron stays in one partial shade area.
Repot it in an increasingly large pot in the spring, every 1-2 years.
Does not like direct exposure to the sun, loves diffused light very much but it can also tolerate shady areas, even if in this case the leaves will tend to lose the nuances and to become smaller.
The temperature should never drop below 10-15 ° C, and be sure to put it in a sheltered place, it fears drafts.
