Onion for spring onion produces tender, white spring onions to be eaten fresh. It should be transplanted in full sun and at 3/5 cm. of space from plant to plant. It is practically a young onion with a delicate and not pungent taste. Avoid water shortages in the vicinity of the harvest to increase the sweetness of the tender stems.
