Crocus Sativus – A beautiful autumn-flowering corm. This crocus produces large, goblet flowers in pale purple with a red stigma. Crocus are dwarf, deciduous perennials. Linear leaves usually with a silvery central stripe, and goblet-shaped, sometimes fragrant flowers in autumn or early spring. For best results grow Crocus Sativus in well-drained soil in full sun. Crocus Sativus are small in size (10 cm) therefore we recommend that you plant them at the front of your garden displays. Grows to a height of around 10 cm. Plant from Autumn. Flowers September/November. Will attract bees to your garden. Key information; Flower Colour: Purple. Flowering: Sept-Nov. Aspect: Sun. Foliage Colour: Green. Height : 10 cm. Plant from Autumn. Use only healthy bulbs, discarding any that show signs of damage or mould. Plant at least twice the bulb’s width apart, and at a depth of two or three times the bulb’s height.
