Your new favorite plant: the helicrysum will win you over! Perennial, bushy plant, 30–40 cm tall, green in color: the alternate, linear, needle-like leaves, 20-40 mm long and 1 mm wide, are covered with fine hair; they are soft and have margins bent downwards (convolute). The inflorescence is a corymb composed of numerous conical flower heads (each having 12-15 flowers, grouped at 20-30), with yellow scales, placed at the apex of the stem, with tubular, hermaphrodite, flowers yellow, red or purple, which they emit an intense, pleasant aromatic, bittersweet, unmistakable smell.
TREATMENT: They love dry soils. Irrigation is therefore not strictly necessary unless we live in a particularly hot area and rainfall is very scarce. The polished helichrysum does not need pruning. The plant should be left to grow freely.
